Inspection status, laws, prices, and availability change; confirm with the plant, the producer, or the agency before relying on any record.

Registry records

Processor records are republished from public USDA FSIS data. We make reasonable efforts to keep them current but do not warrant their accuracy or completeness. Listing is not an endorsement. LocalMeat.org is not affiliated with USDA, FSIS, or any state agency.

Third parties

Links to producers and plants lead to sites we do not control. Your dealings with them are between you and them. Some links may pay us a referral commission; see the disclosure page.

Use of the site

You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not scrape, republish, or resell the registry in bulk without written permission. Cite the specific page when quoting.

Listing terms (verified and featured listings)

Verified and featured listings are subscriptions billed by Stripe on the monthly or annual term you choose. They renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked in your receipt; cancellation stops future charges and the listing reverts to the free registry record at the end of the paid period. Partial periods are not refunded.

A featured placement is a pinned position above the alphabetical registry in your county and in the distance finder, and is always labeled as featured. One featured placement is sold per county. A verified listing adds a verified mark and operator-supplied details after we confirm the claim against the FSIS record and the phone number on file; we may decline or cancel a listing we cannot verify, with a refund of any unused full periods.

Paid tiers never change the free record, the alphabetical order of the registry, or the facts we publish from the federal directory. We do not guarantee any level of traffic, calls, or sales.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Theory Road LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its content.
